The width of the fingers between the corners depends on the length of the smallest edge and the thickness of the material.
The total number of fingers and spaces must be odd.
This means the corners will not necessarily have the same dimensions as the fingers.
In the image above the junction between the corner and the front face is very thin, which would give a weak joint at the corners.
